Image of the Day- Pin Up in the Park

Since Thursdays are #TBT this image is from back in January when the #NCPMG had a meet up at the beautiful Balboa Park. This model is insanely good at #cosplay, but for this day she was one of our beautiful #pinup models.

The weekend is almost here! Enjoy the beautiful Eiraina Ladell!

Image of the Day – Steamed!

Taken last November at one of the first meet ups for the North County Photographers & Models Group at the Antique Gas & Steam Museum. Models Richie DeLite and Caitlin Litzinger are always great to shoot Steampunk with. Caitlin’s wardrobe is from Wonderland Corsets- Happy Hump Day!

Image of the Day- Full Steam Ahead!

Time for the weekend to start! This fun image was taken at the Antique Gas & Steam Museum in Vista, CA and now that this set has been published, I can share the ones not used. This interesting museum is the perfect place to shoot this type of genre. They have huge steam engines, tons of antique automobiles, garages full of interesting things, real blacksmith museum- the list goes on & on. I have found that I enjoy shooting here more during the week than the weekend- so take my recommendation & check this amazing place out!

Image of the Day – Stonehorse

Today’s image of Sienna shows a different view from the Country Estate as well as her mode of transportation.. a “Stonehorse”. You can see how beautiful the landscape is as well as how pretty the patio area is at the Estate. For this image, I used the Nik software of Color Efex and then put a matte finish in the final step. One more day till the weekend! Enjoy!

Image of the Day- Beaches

esterday we spent a few hours at the beach with our North County Photographers & Models meet up group- we had a lot of new models come and this one in particular really reminded me of Natalie Portman in her early days. We had one model that was so eager to get in the water, it was just fun watching her play and have so much fun herself. One thing about living in Southern California, you can go to beautiful beaches and enjoy the beauty of the sun reflecting on the water and if you happen to have a beautiful bunch of models with you… even better! I used Mike Menegus’ D7000 yesterday, which was fun to step away from the D-90 for a bit. Enjoy your Sunday all!

Image of the Day – California Dreaming

Living in California has it’s advantages- especially in the summertime when the ocean is warm. Back a couple of weeks ago, the Inland Empire Models & Photographers Group had a meet up shoot under the pier in Oceanside. It was a beautiful afternoon/evening and the sunset did not disappoint. While taking this session with Breann Lynn, at one point she rolled over on her back and realized there were numerous people on the pier looking down at us and watching her. It was quite funny. Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!

Image of the Day – The Parasol

Another image from Saturday- this one is of Psycho Bettie and the beautiful parasol that Kitty Von Rose’s husband brought her back from one of his many tours of duty defending our country. The colors in the parasol really pop along with Bettie’s blue eyes and her hair. Hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Image of the Day- The Beauty of Butterflies

I don’t know about you, but I could sit & watch butterflies all day long. The way they flutter from flower to flower- so elegant, so fragile yet so strong. Every year here in San Diego, the Wild Animal Park has a butterfly exhibit that is extremely popular. It is so humid inside of the exhibit but as a photographer, you deal with it and just shoot & shoot totally mesmerized by their grace. Tip though- use the Macro yourself instead of letting your fellow photographer use it the entire time. You want to be able to get all of the details and a typical telephoto just does not do them justice. Enjoy!!

Image of the Day – The Butterfly

Every year the Wild Animal Park here in Escondido hosts a Butterfly exhibit where they are flying around like crazy, land all over you- it is a fabulous thing.  The first year we went was near the end of the exhibit time- so there were fewer butterflies, but still so amazing to see.  This is one of my first shots I took, and still one of my favorites.  Hope you enjoy!
